• Six weeks. . .we’ve been missing someone around here for the last six weeks.  We’ve been missing him a lot, actually.  Life just isn’t the same without him.  BUT, he’s coming home today!!!  And we. can’t. wait.

Jeremy was offered a temporary job for a friend out in California, and since Jeremy didn’t have a lot on the calendar for his own business over those same weeks, he went ahead and took the opportunity.

I had our family photo session for this fall all planned out. . .a gorgeous place with beautiful light, but when Jeremy found out that he’d be leaving, plans had to change.  He left when fall was just making it’s presence known, but now it’s pretty much winter, and there aren’t many leaves left on the trees in our area.  I like leaves on trees for my family photos 😉

Of course, it rained most of the weekend before he left, but God was gracious and gave us about a 15 minute reprieve from the rain; so we grabbed the kids, the camera, and the tripod and ran outside for a super quick photo session.  They’re not perfect, but they’re us. . .together and that’s what counts.  AND, I can’t tell you how grateful I am that my Honey is finally coming home.

If you hear some happy screams coming from the general direction of Nashville, Tennessee this evening, don’t be alarmed. . .it’s just me and the boys 😉  And, just so you know, he’s never allowed to go anywhere ever without us again.

  • So, friends. . .have you heard about Jamberry nail wraps?  Well, if you haven’t don’t despair, because I’m about to tell you all about them.  They’re just pretty much the best thing since sliced bread. . .seriously.

What in the world are they?  Well, I’m glad you asked!

Jamberry nail wraps are heat and pressure-activated vinyl nail wraps…sooo basically super fancy stickers. They’re unlike anything you can buy anywhere else. They’re NOT polish strips. They outlast the dollar-store brands, and even the expensive salon brands! They don’t chip, fade, or smell — and they don’t dry out. Jamberry nail wraps last up to two weeks on your fingers, and up to six weeks on your toes.

Yes, really, they do!!!!  My sister discovered them last spring, shared with me, and I have been completely hooked since the moment I put them on my hands.  No chipping, I don’t have to re-paint my nails every three days, I don’t have to try to find a time of day to paint my nails when no one will need me for about 30 minutes, and my husband doesn’t complain about the stinky polish smell!  So, now, I can have a beautiful manicure for weeks, I can apply the wraps whenever (because I can stop what I’m doing and go wipe a little runny nose if I need to), and they don’t smell!!

Yep, they’re really that awesome.  So, I just couldn’t keep all this awesomeness to myself.  And, yes, I did become a Jamberry consultant. . .it was kind of silly not to.  Everywhere I go, people notice my nails and ask me where they can get the wraps, too.  Seriously.  Trader Joe’s, Target, the chiropractor. . .yep, everywhere. So, I decided to make a convenient way for them to be able to buy them 😉

So, I promise my photography blog will not be all about Jamberry in the future, but I did want to tell you about it, because I want to give you something!!!  Christmas is coming before long, and I wanted to show a little appreciation to all of you who share this space here with me.

So, here’s what I’m giving away. . .   (Yes free Jamberry!!!)

One half sheet of nail wraps called Winter’s Edge.  Love this one, and can’t wait to wear it.  Thought you guys would love it, too; it’s perfect for Christmas!  The half sheet of wraps will give you a manicure and a pedicure, with a little left over for some accent nails. . .or some nails that belong to little people in your house 😉   Yes little girls love Jamberry, too!

I’m also giving away a bottle of  Nail Care Cuticle Oil. . .to keep those cuticles looking pretty.

AND, I’m giving away a Legacy Mini Heater!!  Yes, you can apply your nail wraps with a hair dryer, BUT, using a mini heater is so much more convenient. . .and so much more quiet 😉

So, here’s the deal.  Just enter the info requested in the Rafflecopter below, and you’ll be set to go!!  This giveaway ends on November 24; winner will be announced after that.

  • Sometimes the beauty that photography captures astounds me.  Sometimes the light is just right.  Sometimes the place is magical.  When that happens, you get this. . .
